Les Seymour has worked in the news theatres of the world for over fifty years - covering wars, terrorism, famines and coups - the unseen eye of the  newsman, capturing major events as they unfolded. Hes worked with four American presidents at the White House and aboard Air Force One, and was secretly taken to meet the Pope at his private office in the Vatican.  Hes worked for the BBC and every major Australian network on many of the countrys finest TV programs, and with the best-known journalists and producers.  This is a  book full of incredible adventures from most places on the planet, but is still remarkably Australian.

Les Seymour was an ordinary kid from Leichthardt, NSW who became a veteran global cinematographer.  He has led a remarkable life capturing breaking news events from around the world and has been welcomed into the lives of the rich and famous.  He has worked with British Royalty in the UK and four American presidents at the White House, and has worked closely with celebrities from Movie Stars to Opera SIngers and Rock Stars of the times.  He has travelled the globe capturing on film, wars, famines and coups. At one point, his memorial plans were even underway in Sydney when he became Missing-In-Action and was presumed dead, after being captured in Syria and tortured as a spy.  Amazingly, Les survived his Syrian captures and lives on to tell his unique and truly engaging stories in his fascinating autobiography.
