Hunt for Gold: Sunken Galleons in the New World is the engaging tale of the legendary oceanic explorers Bob "Frogfoot" Weller and his wife Margaret. The Wellers lives are a tale of secret treasure hunts, adventurous dives, and under-water explorations, all while laying the foundation for Floridas thriving diving community. Combining text with engrossing photos of their underwater voyages and recovered treasures, Hunt for Gold chronicles the contributions of the pioneers of the diving community from the Florida shores and beyond.

John Christopher Fine has dove on shipwrecks all over the world. He is a Master Scuba Instructor and Instructor Trainer, and the author of over two dozen books on almost as many topics, including award-winning books dealing with ocean pollution. He has authored both fiction and non-fiction books. Fine is a fellow of the Explorers Club and a member of the Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences, a recognition he received in honor of his numerous books in the field of juvenile education. He has been the recipient of international recognition for his pioneering work investigating toxic waste contamination of our land and water resources.

I enjoyed it so much, I read it without getting up. John is one of those extraordinarily talented people who you too rarely run into...Part of what makes him a great writer, is his phenomenal gift for detail. Reading his book, was like walking back in time to the days when treasure hunting, in the Florida Keys and along what is now called Floridas Treasure Coast, was just beginning. --Dr. E. Lee Spence
