The first paperback edition of a book which has been popularall over Australia. Tim Reeves and Alan Roberts have carefully selected a diverse array of private and public dwellings from the first 100 years of Canberra. They reveal the social history and context of each home, and the innovation and foresight of both owners and designers. From the spartan cottages of the first workmen in the capital to the sleek energy efficient homes of the new millenium, every home has a story. Vibrant colour drawings, photos and plans illuminate this well researched and easy to digest book.

Tim Reeves developed a passion for domestic design while working in the heritage area for the Commonwealth government. He resides in Adelaide, and has recently published Winning Homes, a delightful book about Australian Housing Competitions. Alan Roberts is a Canberra historian who has written books in Sydney and Canberra on urban design—most recently his acclaimed study of the famous Academy of Science building. For 100 Canberra Houses they spent years in research and interviewing architects, builders and homeowners.
