What a useful book for the beginner researcher! This book offers a grounding in the different kinds of research conducted in the field of early childhood as well as an introduction to the range of ideas that underpin such research. Chapter 2 'beginning to think critically about research' will be useful across many modules. Drawing on useful exemplars to highlight points of significance, this book is written in an inviting and accessible style which will support the novice researcher yet also support the development of criticality in relation to research. ? -- Deborah Albon
