His decades of contributions in computer vision, pattern recognition, and machine learning are having a profound impact on biometrics, smart cars, forensics, and 2D and 3D modeling of faces, objects, and terrain, while his work in motion capturing and imaging is shaping the future of AI's use in health care and medicine.
