Susan Joy Paul went for her first hike at the ripe old age of 43 and never looked back. Susan has hiked, camped, and climbed around the United States and beyond, reaching the summits of more than 700 mountains. She has served as on the council of thePikes Peak Chapter of the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) ans as a volunteer Basic Mountaineering School instructor. Susan is the author of numerous guidebooks including Touring Colorado Hot Springs, Hiking Waterfalls in Colorado, and Climbing Colorado's Mountains. She lives independently in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
