Sarah Cody is a well-known figure in Connecticut with connections at all local television stations and newspapers. She is a three-time Emmy award-winning reporter who has spent much of her career highlighting New England's tourism scene. She was flown in a helicopter above Cape Cod's cranberry bogs and operated a kayak around the Statue of Liberty. But, mostly, she has combed through the towns of Connecticut, finding interesting spots and beautiful places along the way. At Fox 61 in Hartford, she produced and hosted the popular DayTrippers segments. Currently, at News 8 (ABC) in New Haven, she hosts and produces a seasonal travel show called Destination New England. Additionally, Sarah has contributed home and travel features to Hartford Magazine and New Haven Living. After graduating from Trinity College in Hartford, Sarah began her media career at WHDH in Boston where she was an Assignment Editor, Satellite Producer, and Field Producer. She has received a Food Allergy Hero Award, a Mental Health Media Award, and a Local Leader-Local Legend Unsung Hero Award for her dedication to important family issues. Sarah enjoys contributing to local events with organizations such as March of Dimes, Hartford Hospital and the YMCA of Greater Hartford. Dancing the rhumba in a recent Donate Life Connecticut competition is one of Sarah's proudest accomplishments. She lives on Connecticut's gorgeous shoreline and enjoys combing the beaches with her husband Paul, sons Sam and Ben, and rescue dogs, Lucy and Jack.
