When his children reached adulthood and, having written four novels (Lagan Love, Born & Bred, Wandering in Exile, and All Roads), Murphy packed up his life and moved back to Europe with his loving wife and faithful dog. He now lives in Lisbon where he plans to study the lugubriousness of love.
