Claire Bates PhD is an honorary research associate at The Tizard Centre, University of Kent, and is on secondment from Choice Support. Claire has worked with people with learning disabilities for over 15 years, including as a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and has worked with people with learning disabilities around issues such as abuse. Claire's PhD focused on partner selection and love for people with learning disabilities. Claire's current research is exploring bisexuality among people with learning disabilities.
