The entertaining and often humorous second volume of this book talks about moving to Australia with a bag full of dreams (his own and his family’s) and lot of expectations, where the only option he saw was keeping his head down and running the real marathon of his life. Something he had been preparing for. It also covers the Australian landscape from the eyes of an international student and some reality vs expectations journey, meeting a partner who would stand by him in this race to the finish line, convincing his Indian parents to let him marry a white girl they have never met, going back home after five years after he felt he had achieved something to take them to the next level. Follow Divesh as he worked towards being able to survive and grow in a country he was still getting used to, after he came here with $1000 in his bank to making it possible to save about $150,000 to have the chance for his family to be able to be part of that same dream life that was now true for him.

He hopes this book gives the lessons he did not get earlier in his life, to show that its possible if you keep having a go at your goals even if it takes a lifetime. Hopefully he can achieve his goal of at least making one life better and helping youngsters to achieve more.

Divesh is an entrepreneur who loves solving problems. He was born in India and decided to migrate to Australia at a young age. He understood during childhood that to make the future of his family better someone needed to give their all and, being the elder child, he thought he was best positioned for this mission. So, he decided to leave everything he had known and almost everyone and come to this amazing country Australia, grow from almost nothing to fulfil the goal of making his family part of that dream.

When he started to write about this journey he realised if the goal is to remind everyone about growing from nothing and motivating our younger generation, he needed to cover more than just what Divesh did.

This took him back to the partition of India, which was the biggest migration in human history and about which he had heard since childhood. He had seen the nations still recover from it. Along with that, he wanted to cover what most students like him go through in Australia, and the dilemma you always are in when you are an immigrant and dont totally belong anywhere.

For a living recently Divesh has been working as a Product and Technology consultant helping businesses solve problems, and he hopes to live his life creating and leading platforms that solve problems.

In his free time, he enjoys: teaching his son Hari, and convincing his daughter Aishwarya its ok to share some cuddles with daddy too; being a good son, brother, and husband most of the time; exploring; working on new ideas; learning new skills that challenge him; and watching Netflix.

His favourite poem is Jind Meriye Mitti Diye Dheriye, which shows that we will not remain here forever and even the next breath is not guaranteed. So, we should stop pretending. Instead, we should live a life of a purpose bigger than us.
